Born in 1969, the adidas Superstar has achieved legendary status within the sneaker community over 5 decades.
During the 70’s, the adidas Superstar was a favourite amongst basketball’s elite. The 100% leather upper created the perfect balance between freedom of movement and stability, while the iconic rubber toe cap reinforced foot protection. Since then, the “shelltoe” progressively became more and more popular within the urban culture. Legendary hip hop group Run DMC notably took the design to a whole new level of popularity by rocking them on stage, and even dedicating a song to them.
Today, this kids version of the Adidas Superstar is established as one of the most recognizable shoe ever designed, a true fashion staple celebrating streetwear culture.
